Refund Policy

At Duane Rieker Photography, photography services and fine artwork require advance planning, reserved time, and professional production. For these reasons, the following refund policy applies to all services and purchases.
1. Real Estate Photography
Real estate photography is a time-sensitive, on-site professional service.
Completed Sessions -

Once a real estate photography session has been completed, all sales are final.

Refunds are not issued due to stylistic preference, market conditions, weather, or listing changes.
Property Readiness & Access -
The client is responsible for ensuring the property is fully ready at the scheduled time, including:

Property cleaned and staged
-
Utilities active
-
Unrestricted access to all areas to be photographed

Doors unlocked and alarms disabled
If access is delayed, limited, or denied, the session is considered completed and no refund will be issued. A reshoot may require an additional fee.
Pets, Occupants & People -

Pets must be secured or removed prior to the session.

Occupants, movers, cleaners, or contractors present during the session may limit the ability to photograph certain areas.

The presence of people or pets that restricts photography does not qualify for a refund.
Weather & Exterior Conditions -

Seasonal conditions, overcast skies, and natural lighting variations are not grounds for a refund.

If severe weather prevents exterior photography, an exterior-only reshoot may be scheduled at the photographer’s discretion.
Technical Issues -
If a technical issue prevents delivery of usable images, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost or a refund will be issued if rescheduling is not possible.
2. Portrait Photography
Headshots, branding, family, children, seniors, lifestyle, and mini sessions -

Session retainers are non-refundable, as they reserve time and preparation.

Cancellations made with advance notice may be rescheduled or applied as a credit toward a future session, subject to availability.

Once a portrait session has taken place, no refunds are issued based on artistic style, posing, expressions, or personal preference.

If the photographer must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, clients may choose a full refund or reschedule at no additional cost.
3. Fine Art Photography
Prints, editions, and licensed artwork -

Fine art prints are custom produced using professional archival materials.

All fine art print sales are final. Refunds are not offered for change of mind, size selection, or aesthetic preference.

If a print arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery and provide photographs of the damage and package so a replacement or refund may be arranged.

Digital files and image licenses are non-refundable once delivered. (Please review licensing terms carefully before purchase. If you have questions, we encourage you to contact us prior to ordering.)
Additional Information -

Minor color variation between screens and printed artwork is normal and does not qualify for a refund.

Third-party fulfillment or shipping delays are not grounds for refunds.

Clients are encouraged to contact us directly with concerns before initiating chargebacks or disputes. We are committed to resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
